I checked out 'Pops for Champagne' and 'The Shrine' last night for my besties bday.
'Pops for Champagne' is the cutest little champagne bar. The waiter was just as cute too. He was this funky old man with a bow-tie. There is a bar in the middle and booths all around. There is also a chance to catch some live jazz too. The place is really cool and quaint and i suggest that everybody check it out. The Shrine is a nice lil spot to boogie and drink. Its not too small and not too big and well kept. Not once was i scared that i was going to get shot, slapped or ran over. It kinda reminda me of a 'darker' Funky Buddah lounge. One thing that impressed me was at one point i heard a security guy tell a girl to put her shoes back on, lol. All in all as far as clubs go it was a cool spot. The website is http://www.theshrinechicago.com/ and id check it out if you're still into clubs.
